Day trip to Lake Tsomgo

You have various options for organizing your excursion.

• Visit the high-altitude Tsomgo Lake (3,780 m) and experience the different vegetation on the journey from 600 m to 3,780 m! Enjoy the beauty of the blooming primroses, magnolias and rhododendrons in spring.
• Try a yak ride along the shore of the alpine lake or take a walk past the food stalls and souvenir stores to the natural shore of the lake.
  Take a hike (1 hour each way) to a nearby viewpoint at almost 4000 meters. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Lake Tsomgo and Mount Khanchendzonga (weather permitting).
• Local visitors also have the opportunity to visit the Nathula Pass border crossing and Baba Mandir. Take a look at the Tibetan plateau and the Chinese and Indian guards.

Duration: 2 x 3 hours drive by vehicle to and from Bamboo Retreat Hotel
